Meet the A&H Team

 

Timothy L. Austin

Tim is a co-owner and the president of A&H Lawn Service, Inc. He co-founded the company, along with Brandon Hertel, in 1991. Tim oversees all aspects of landscape construction and irrigation system installation and winter services. He attended Washtenaw Community College and completed landscape design classes at Lansing Community College. Tim s also HC3 certified by the Hydrologic Certified Conservation Contractor program, CIC certified (Certified Irrigation Contractor) by the Irrigation Association (IA), and an EPA Water Sense Partner.

Brandon J. Hertel

Brandon is a co-owner and vice president of A&H. With Tim Austin, he co-founded our company in 1991. Today Brandon oversees lawn maintenance, landscape maintenance, and snow and ice removal for our customers. Brandon attended Eastern Michigan University and earned a turf management degree from Michigan State University. He holds a Master Gardener Certificate and a Pesticide Applicator's License.

James D. Austin

Jim is a co-owner of A&H, and the manager of our irrigation system maintenance division. He also supervises many irrigation system installation projects. Jim joined A&H in 1996. He attended Washtenaw Community College where he got his Associates Degree. Jim has been a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA) since 2005, a Certified Irrigation Designer (CID) since 2010, and in February 2011 was Certified Landscape Water Manager (CLWM) by the Irrigation Association (IA). In 2008 he became HC3 Certified as a contractor and auditor, by the Hydrologic Certified Conservation Contractor program.  He became an EPA Water Sense Partner, the first year of the program was opened to Landscape Irrigation Professionals. He is also Landscape Lighting Certified.

Kristen L. Cundiff

As A&H's office manager, Kristy oversees the company's day-to-day business operations including customer communications, employee processes, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll processing. She joined A&H in 1997 after attending Eastern Michigan University.

Charles E. Sukis

Charles was a foreman in our lawn maintenance division for many years and made the transition to an irrigation foreman in 2009. Charles manages many of the day to day operations of the irrigation division including installation and maintenance of systems as well as data entry of pertinent job information ensuring we'll keep up to date with each system we service. Charles has been with A&H since 1999.

Keegan T. Grounds

Keegan expertly directs our landscape construction crew as its foreman. He also, by the way, has a practically perfect last name for someone working in the outdoor services industry! Keegan attended Eastern Michigan University, holds a Master Gardener Certificate, and has been a key member of the A&H team since 2001.

Matthew A. Gritzmaker

Matt is a foreman on one of our lawn crews and has an integral role in the day to day operations of the lawn maintenance division.  He oversees the work of other crews, as well as his own, and ensures the daily processes of the lawn maintenance division are running smoothly and efficiently. In the winter months he oversees the daily operations of our sidewalk staff of over 10 crews and 30 crew members.  Matt joined the A&H team in 2004.

Edgar Paniagua

Edgar has been bringing his organizational and efficiency-minded skills to our lawn maintenance division since 2005. He is a foreman on one of our crews and is very skilled at maintaining equipment and troubleshooting any issue that may arise with equipment or on a jobsite.
